After finishing on multiple OHSAA State Championship podiums in high school, Nate went to the state up north to run for Grand Valley State University, where he earned All-American honors in XC. Nate then qualified for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials where he finished 114th - all while he was finishing a PhD at The University of Akron.
